The Cross-Border Crime Prevention Forum held a successful meeting at the LNDC hall, in Hlotse, Leribe on the 13th February 2026 to tackle crimes affecting the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Republic of South Africa

The meeting focused on hotspots and prevalent crimes such as stock theft, transport, and trafficking in persons. The collaborative effort aims to address these offenses, curb crimes, and foster a crime-free environment.

The meeting was graced by the presence of the Cross-Border Coordinator, Mr. Mohapi Litaba, the office of the Commissioner for Refugees and Migration, Free State House of Traditional and Khoisane Leaders, Lesotho Mounted Police Service, South African Police Service, Lihlabeng Municipality, Maluti a Phofung Municipality, Area Chiefs, the office of the District Administrator Botha-Bothe, and Leribe.
